Boys will be Boys

Steven is approaching his Book of Mormon Midterm once again...this means I had to surrender to his year long request of getting a Dremel tool so he could continue to pursue his interest in wood carving, but using more effecient manly power tools, in order for him to complete his midterm project--which is at the moment undecided. All he knows is that he wants to carve something. I've suggested making mini models of the Jaredite's boats that were "tight, like unto a dish" (I love saying that!). He thought it was kinda lame, but maybe it will grow on him...We'll find something for him to carve.

He does his woodcarving in the house, which means sawdust in the carpet. I like the smell of sawdust (I know, I'm wierd) but I don't enjoy all of the racket while I'm trying to balance my chi, and I'm afraid of walking across the carpet and getting a sliver. There aren't any outside electrical outlets at our apartments. I teased him and said that I guess he couldn't use his new toy after all, he would have to wait until he could find better woodcarving arrangements. He gave me a look that said 'I would rather die.'

Boys will be boys.
