The Seven Dwarf Personality Syndrome

My baby is the seven dwarfs all rolled into one, I swear. For the most part, she's has Happy, Dopey, Bashful, and Doc (she's the boss, right?) personalities...but...

Well, this past week, she's been Grumpy, Sneezy, and Sleepy! During the day, she'll take 20 minute cat naps and then want to be awake (awake a.k.a. held all of the time...oofta...). At night, she'll take 1 1/2 hour cat naps and then want to be awake (awake a.k.a. held all of the time WITH the light on...ugh). So Steven finally put his foot down and informed me that "WE ARE GETTING ON A SCHEDULE!!!"

So, Saturday night, he kept her up until 9:30 pm, swaddled her in a blanket and put her in the crib. She fell asleep immediately and FINALLY slept for a good 6-7 hour stretch.

Then, the next morning, Steven told me that her naptimes were 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm, and that bedtime was at 9:00ish. Kaia normally wakes up about 8:30 am, which she did the next morning, no surprise.

Steven was perservering throughout the entire morning while we got ready for church. He told me that my job was to get ready while he kept Kaia entertained. He made her laugh and laugh and laugh. She had tummy time. Steven tossed her in the air. Kaia would then lay on her back and stare at the light; she then started to doze off. Steven immediately combated this with another round of tossing and tickling and being downright silly and LOUD! They cycled through this routine for a while.

Well, 12:00 finally rolled around, and this was the result...

Nothing but Sleepy, Sleepy, Sleepy.

We're happy to announce she's stuck to the schedule her papa arranged!

Schedules are hard so way to keep with it! Addie still loves to be swaddled and that's how she sleeps through the night. She's an adorable baby Tiffany and I can't believe she's 3 months already.
